Glen Acres Kennels and Cattery – Dog Daycare
At Glen Acres, we offer a dedicated dog daycare service, completely separate from our boarding facilities. This allows us to create a safe, structured, and sociable environment purely for our daycare dogs. (Please note: we do not mix boarding dogs with daycare attendees.)
For the health and safety of all dogs in our care, daycare dogs must be fully vaccinated, and the kennel cough vaccination must be administered at least 14 days prior to attendance.
Daycare Opening Hours
Monday – Friday: 7:45am – 6:00pm
Saturday: 8:30am – 4:00pm
Sunday: Closed
What’s Included in Your Dog’s Day
Our daycare provides a full, enriching experience, including:
• Supervised socialisation
• Structured play sessions
• Daily exercise and group walks
• Mental enrichment activities
• Treats
• Lunch (if required)
• Individual daily records of toileting, eating, behaviour and general wellbeing
Our heated daycare pens include both indoor and outdoor areas, ensuring comfort all year round. We also have a dedicated indoor enrichment and exercise space for use during poor weather, so your dog’s day is never disrupted by rain or cold conditions.
Each play area is equipped with cosy beds for rest breaks, crates for dogs who prefer their own space, multiple water stations, and plenty of toys to keep tails wagging.
A Typical Day at Glen Acres
Your dog’s day begins with supervised morning play sessions in our indoor or outdoor pens, allowing them to socialise and burn off energy in a safe, controlled environment.
Puppies and younger dogs often require additional meals. Lunch can be provided at 12:00pm, either using our food or food supplied by you at drop-off.
In the afternoon, dogs enjoy fun group walks in our large field, complete with plenty of games and an endless supply of tennis balls for fetch and exercise.
Before collection, dogs enjoy a calm wind-down period, resting comfortably in their beds after a full and stimulating day.
Perfect for Puppies and Active Dogs
Daycare is ideal for dogs from 12 weeks old onwards, helping them develop confidence, social skills, and positive behaviour. It also allows dogs to become familiar with our team and facilities, which can make any future boarding stays much more relaxed and stress-free.
